Didier Leclercq has specialised in corporate law, and particularly in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, for more than 25 years.

Before joining van Cutsem Wittamer Marnef & Partners, he worked as an associate and then as a partner in international law firms in Brussels, New York and Amsterdam.

During his career, Didier has assisted and advised a wide range of clients (international groups, investment funds, SMEs, private investors, etc.) in numerous transactions (share acquisitions, asset acquisitions, management buy-outs, privatisation, etc.), both in Belgium and abroad.

He has extensive experience in counselling and representing sellers, buyers and investors, both in the context of smaller-scale domestic transactions and in high-profile cross-border transactions, in many different sectors (energy, media, banking, transport, etc.).

Didier also has particular expertise in relation to complex joint venture structures, foreign investments in Belgium, the restructuring of groups (mergers, demergers, etc.), disputes between shareholders, and advising on issues of corporate law.

Didier Leclercq is the author of numerous publications on corporate law and the sale of businesses, including a book on the subject of share transfer agreements.
